Our Commitment to Local Families
We are dedicated to ensuring that every family in the Hoodland Fire District #74 community — including Alder Creek, Brightwood, Cherryville, Government Camp, Marmot, Rhododendron, Welches, Wemme, and Zig Zag — can experience the joy and warmth of the holiday season. We believe no one should go without the comfort, connection, and happiness that this time of year brings.

Free Food Boxes for Community Members
We provide free food boxes to all community members facing hardship. Our program makes it possible for families in need to enjoy nourishing meals during the holidays.
Gifts for Youth
In addition to food, we offer gifts for young people ages 0–18. By sharing holiday presents, we help brighten the season for children and teens in our community.
Annual Impact

Home Delivery for Seniors and People with Disabilities
Recognizing the unique challenges faced by homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities, we proudly offer home delivery to ensure every eligible neighbor receives their food box with ease and dignity.

Families experiencing extra need during the holiday season and living in Alder Creek, Brightwood, Cherryville, Government Camp, Marmot, Rhododendron, Welches, Wemme or Zigzag may apply to receive free holiday food boxes and gifts for children ages 0–18.

❤️Founded in Welches, Oregon, Hoodland Community Christmas Baskets is a community‑driven organization with a heart for service. We coordinate holiday assistance to support the individuals and families in our area who are most in need, ensuring no one is overlooked during the holiday season.
Our dedicated volunteer team reviews applications with care, organizes gift and food box distribution, and upholds the dignity and respect of every household we serve. Through thoughtful coordination and a commitment to equity, we help bring warmth, joy, and connection to our neighbors each December.
